This group covers Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian and other Asian cuisines that are not Chinese, and the etiquette varies by kitchen. Japanese and Korean restaurants often take reservations for dinner and may add a service charge for large groups; Thai and Vietnamese spots are usually walk-in and quick-turnover. Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. Korean BBQ restaurants typically charge per person for all-you-can-eat service with a time limit, and grills are shared at the table. Vietnamese pho shops post bowl sizes (regular or large) and a plate of herbs, bean sprouts and lime is normal to add yourself. Card and tap-to-pay are widely accepted; cash-only is more common at small family-run counters.

We have been here many times since the day it opened however we havenβt ate here in a while. Perhaps for at least three years. We have been to Gerryβs when we were in the Philippines back in the Philippines in 2024. The food is as good as we remember and the service has always been good here. One thing I noticed was they opened up the space so no matter where you are in the restaurant, you can hear the band playing. I wish they kept a separation so you can still have some conversation while the band was playing. We already selected the table furthest from the band area and it was still loud but it is all good, it is the attraction on weekends. We will just go earlier next time.

Gerryβs Grill in Union City is a great spot with plenty of seating, good food, and excellent customer service. King and Hang were both very friendly and welcoming. Thank you for taking such great care of me! One of the coolest features is the large grill and huge exhaust hood right in the middle of the restaurant. As soon as you walk in, you can smell the pork, chicken, and other grilled meats cooking. They also have beer towers you can pour at your table, plus Stella Artois on tap using the proper Stella draft system, which gives it a fantastic pour. There are also some good vegetarian options, including a tasty eggplant dish and a couple of crispy tofu dishes. I stopped by Monday right when they opened at 4:00 p.m. They also have live music every Friday and Saturday starting at 7:30 p.m.

Our family visited this place for the first time, and it was honestly disappointing. The food and ambiance were good, and the long wait was understandable since it was the weekend. However, we sat at our table for almost half an hour without a server, and when she finally arrived, she attended to the table behind us even though we had arrived first. The food came out in phases: we received the first three dishes, and the other three only came out after half of us were already done eating. We had to ask the manager for a follow-up since our server was nowhere to be found. To the Saturday night manager, thank you for helping us. Weβre normally not picky guests; two of us even work in the hospitality industry, so we understand how busy weekends can get. But in situations like that, youβd usually see your server moving around, checking in on tables. In our case, we only saw her twiceβ¦ once to take our order and once to hand us the bill. Easy service charge. Weβre definitely not coming back, we were just visiting anyway.

I know this restaurant has been around for 20 years but it was my 1st time here. The food tastes authentic, service is great. Some people say the servings are small but they are actually just right. I had their lomi (for take out) and had their halo-halo, inihaw na bangus for a late lunch. Was worth the trip. Will definitely be back.

This place has been around for a while. They still attract a loyal following of Pinoy diners who come here for good food. The food is above average for sure, but pricey! Just today, we ordered the "adobong kambing" which tasted pretty good, but over-priced at $27 IMHO! We're probably going to keep coming back because, as Pinoy restaurants in the area go, they are one of the better ones in terms of taste, ambiance and consistency.
